  1. The mackerel is an open sea FISH and is
  2. closely related to the TUNA. Mackerel have
  3. deeply forked tails, narrowed where they join
  4. the body, finlets behind the dorsal and anal
  5. fins, and streamlined bodies. They are
  6. superb, swift swimmers of generally large
  7. size are important commercially as food. They
  8. travel in schools and feed on other fish,
  9. especially HERRING, and SQUID, and migrate
  10. between deep and shallow waters. The largest
  11. mackerel is a tuna and weighs upto
  12. ¾ton(680kg), amoung the smallest is the
  13. common mackerel of the Atlantic.
